W. John Lees
Mr. Lees has vast experience in the development and execution of brand identity programs. He has designed brand programs for cities, hotels, resorts, airlines, companies, national cultural institutions and government agencies in the United States, Europe and Asia.
Mr. Lees has served on numerous professional and governmental committees, was the National Endowment award recipient of an Individual Project Fellowship for the Arts. He has been honored by the United States Government with four Presidential Design Awards in recognition of branding programs he developed. Mr. Lees was senior investigator on the U.S. Department of Transportation Study, An Investigation of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, which led to the internationalization of traffic signage. He was also a member of the Federal Highway Administrators Task Force on Transportation Graphics and a committee member of the U.S. Department of Transportation study Symbol Signs for Transportation.
Mr. Lees was educated in England and at Yale University's School of Art and Architecture where he earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees.
